I had always wanted to try photography since I
was a child. I liked the concept of it. But alas I could not
afford a good camera. I've had a couple of P&S cameras but nothing
of quality. It wasn't until I met my wife that I even had an
opportunity to use an SLR. My mother-in-law lent me her old
Ricoh XR-2s and that got me hooked.
I couldn't afford my own camera until I quit
smoking about 3 1/2yrs, then as a reward my wife let me get a camera
for my own. I got a Nikon F75 SLR. Since then I have purchased
a couple of older manual focus bodies (a Nikon FM10 & a Nikon FE2),
and most recently a Nikon D200 digital SLR (worth every penny).
I also have a collection of lenses, flashes & accessories. All in
all a very nice addiction, err I mean hobby.
This hobby takes me all over the greater
Vancouver area taking pictures along the way. This is the most
beautiful area in the world. But more importantly photography
gets me off of the computer. I must thank my wife (LOVE
YOU XIRCONIUM) for being very patient as I do tend to get
stuck waiting for the picture to develop. Now if I could
just get my savings account filled. There seems to be a lens or two
I need. Well maybe three...
